After getting her master’s degree from the University of London, Sara got her start in television distribution in London at the beginning of the format explosion. For three years, Sara sold British television shows to broadcasters internationally. Transitioning out of television, Sara moved into journalism and was part of the London branch of iVillage, a pioneer in the online women’s magazine space. She also helped launch a high-end print magazine called Wrap, targeting the arthouse filmmakers prevalent in London, New York and Los Angeles at the time. Finally, Sara produced what would be one of the world’s first global digital conferences called Women Future. She successfully secured funding from Britain’s largest telecom company, British Telecom, and harnessed burgeoning digital technology to help create a live global forum which allowed participants to both listen and interact with a program of female business leaders. Moving to Los Angeles with her husband in 2002, Sara maintained her work as a journalist, writing for the LA Times Special Advertising Section, while raising three daughters. In 2015, she launched a successful podcast called The Other F Word that explored all the positive and life affirming results of failure. She produced 133 episodes and booked a wide range of high-profile guests such as Gretchen Rubin (Podcast Host and Author of Happier), Sharon Stone (Basic Instinct, Casino), Tony Hale (Veep, Arrested Development), Captain Scott Kelly (Astronaut, Author) and many more. The podcast was listed on iTunes New & Noteworthy list of top podcasts in 2017 less than one year into the show. After her successful podcast launch, Sara started working in radio, holding producing positions on various shows at KCRW including Left Right & Center and Press Play. Sara’s skills are in journalism, audio production and editing, print editing, and podcast producing.
